July
Time has gone by so fast! Already it is July 1. Soo sleepy now. I watch a lot of infomercials. Sad to see that Billy Mays died last weekend. I did find his commercials kind of irritating though, when he always came on screaming. Seems that many folks , famous folks are kinda dying young these days. I am sick of hearing about Michael Jackson, too. In a few days there will be a funeral, and then the press will eventually start to fade and move on to others and other issues. Well I must say zzzzzz now.

Work is paying off!
Well, I went to the Dr for my annual physical today and I found out that I have lost 35 pounds since April! Yay! All this running around is paying off. Now only 120 more to go! LOL. Hell, it is not hard. Life is good.

Enoooough
Michael Jackson died yesterday. He was 50 years old. A pop icon. I remember when THRILLER came out. He was HUGE. I was never a big fan, but seems like almost every other teenager was. Personally, I liked him better when he was singing lead for the Jackson 5. But he has only been dead for a day and frankly I am already tired of hearing about it. There is just too much media coverage about it. Farrah Fawcett also died yesterday, and there was a lot of media coverage but not as much as about Jackson. I tire of it, so whenever I hear something about them on the radio or tv I change the channel.

Thunder!
Tonight is one of those nights that I will just go to be early with the television on. I fall alseep to my crime stories then I also dream about them.. well, about 830 pm cst tonigt it starts to rain, my weather radio sounds off. Then it is quiet again for a while, then the thunderstorm starts. There is a LOUD clap of thunder which scares the beejesus out of my dogs Donner and Honig. Poor things. They think the world is coming to an end. They say that if thunder scares your dog, you are supposed to just act like everything is normal, resist the urge to comfort them. They both came into my room after that loud clap. I told them to go back into their rooms and lie down.

Random thoughts
My life is kinda boring right now. Well, in comparison to what else is going on around the world it is. That is ok by me. I really don't like excitement in my life. Excitement in my life is usually negative. Like waiting to get the results from a test that you think you didn't do too well on. It is hot here in Kansas. Steaming hot. Make you want to stay inside all day and hang out inside the refridgerator/freezer hot. Today was one of those hot hot hot days. Burn your ass hot when you sit on vinyl seat days. I am fat, and fat people, generally speaking do not do heat very well. We tend to prefer the cold. At least I do. Now I am typing this blog to avoid paying my bills tonight. Ha. I am too sleepy, so I will pay my bills tomorrow. Good night. God Bless.

Sick
I woke up today with a strong headache. I don't know why because I had my guard in to keep me from grinding my teeth. I felt awful. I was planning to go to the park today and church servize tonight , and shopping afterwards but I just felt too damn awful to go. Nope, no hangovers because i don't drink alcohol. I went back to bed for most of the day today, but I felt much better tonight after this afternoon taking my meds and getting something to eat.I certainly hope that I do not feel this way after my surgery in December.

Good news and why I am still up at this unGodly hour
Well, Yesterday(today) LOL. It is Saturday morning and the stuff I am about to talk about happened on Friday. Well, I am happy. I found out Friday (that is yesterday) that my company has renewed its insurance, so the guy who works there that is having a kidney transplant will have insurance. And I have the insurance too. Call me crazy but I am so happy it is hard me to sleep. Things happen so slow and yet they happen so fast it is hard to write my thoughts down on this blog. Seems that health insurance is on everybody's minds these days. I tell you there is no way in hell that I would ever support single payer government run health care. Think about it. A case in point: Government housing. Look at the slums.

Good news
My cable is back on! Yay! And when I called the Cable television company, I got 3 days (about 13.00) credit on my bill. I probably should call them and tell them my cable is back on, but I don't feel like being put on hold for 10 plus minutes. Wait I should because a cable guy is supposed to come out to my house on Thursday. Well, I only have a few minutes to call, so I will right now.Done. Now the Cable company and I are happy together:). I have not heard back from the insurance company yet. I hope that I do soon.

Good stuff/bad stuff
Ok, I went to visit the surgeon today at 930 am. Well good news on this front. My surgery is set for the first week of December. Yay. And another bit of good news-I don't weigh as much as I thought I did. For the first time in a long time, I can actually know how much I weigh: 387 pounds. I don't care if the entire world knows how much I weigh or how old I am. Thats good news. My surgery itself is being paid for . But ,. I find out today(finally) that I owe a bit of money to a doctor's office, one that I regulalry visit -a dieticians office to be exact. Not a big deal. I can deal with it. For the strange news, well, to make a long story short, as of now, I still have health insurance. I can't go into too much detail here-but it has to do with my company, and our employee health insurance provider. We are now renewing it and we hope that we have complied with the requirements. We sent out the forms that we filled out on Monday, so today, which is Wednesday, the insurance company would have them to review. I hope we keep our health insurance. We have an employee that currently carries it and he desperately needs it as he is having kidney surgery during the first week of July, and I desperately need it for all of my meds and my drs appointments. I will post on this when I find out more info that I can post here. Oh and the absolute worst news of all: My CABLE TV IS OUT . The cable guy won't be able to come out until this coming Thursday evening! Now what will I ever do without CABLE TV????!!??

My Grocery list
Yesterday, I ran out of food in my house. I let my food supply get low, so tonight I could take inventory, and wrote down what I needed. After church, for inspiration, I drove around one of our nice neighborhoods driving by and checking out the houses for sale. One day, a house like that, or maybe even better than that, will be mine. Anyway, I finally got around to shopping and here is my list: Salt at $0.85, peaches at $0.95, dog treats at $1.25, ground beef at $5.15, red delicious apples at $2.09, potatoes at $2.78, 3 cans of wet dog food at $0.99 each, a fruit bowl at $7.88, dishwasher cleaner at $ 4.29, bananas at $.061, navel oranges at $3.54, 10 ears of corn at $2.99 each, red grapes at $3.12, olive oil at $5.99 a bottle(expensive stuff) , tomatoes at $15.53( I got a dozen or so large ones) cereal at $5.19 a box, laundry detergent at $10.99 for a large bottle, diet sorft drinks at $4.00 for 6 bottles, soup at $2.19, crackers(to eat with the soup) at $2.48 per box, Steak sauce at $2.69 for a small bottle, One half gallon of skim milk( to add to cereal) at $1.79, butter sticks (one box) at $2.39, bottled water at 1.89, scented room plugins at $3.99, vegetable and beef soup at $1.78 each, grape juice at $2.50 each(two gallons of them) , 4 cans of kidney beans( you can eat these with just about anything) at $0.73 each. Coupons took about $15.00 off the bill(I have a shopper's card) . But the total bill came to : $139.13. That is a lot for me, just one person, but I plan on not doing any grocery shopping for about a month. The thing that I really loathe is having to unload the stuff when I get home, cause the only one that is there, while happy to see me, not having arms(not to mention the inclination to help!) can't. He is very sweet though. Now as far as groceries go, I feel very blessed. I felt sorta bare yesterday, and the day before. But Sunday night, and from now on, Sunday night is reserved for grocery shopping. Want something at the store? Write it down because Sunday is when to get it.

Sitting here
Just sitting here in front of my computer, trying to think of something to say. Oh yes, next week, I have a visit with my Lapband surgeon. Not at all nervous about it. Will schedule to have the surgery then. It is a little scary when I think about it. Though it does not scare me as much as spiders do. I am , for some reason , arachnaphobic. Those little things really creep me out. Spiders and scorpions creep me out. To me, they are not really the shy little creatures that scurry away when you see them. They are big hairy angry looking and wanting to kick your ass biters and stingers that will kill you with a giant karate kick. Then again, all giant 4 legged hairy beasts with sharp teeth and friendly come hither greeting you with big slobby wet toilet kissers are cute! Oh whoops.. now I am talking canines.. oh no....

Kudos to AOL
Posted an article about Laura Bush on Her husband, and if I could link it, I would. Bush is not criticizing President Obama. That is commendable too. Cheney is criticizing Obama, his right to do. On a personal note, I got paid today, paid all my bills, and added more to my savings (my house fund) and have a few bucks left over, til I get paid next week. I am agressively trying to build a good strong savings balance. For some reason I am a little paranoid that something is going to go wrong with this old house, I will have to pay a ton of money to get it fixed. Last January, I had some plumbing work done, to the tune of about sixteen hundred fifty dollars. That may not be too much to some people but to me that is a lot, and especially since my homeowners insurance policy did not cover it! And then the plumber had to tear up my newly sodded front yard(which also cost me two thousand dollars). I was pissed but what can you do? Well, My savings has almost been restored to what it was after the plumbing incident.

Saturday night
It is late. I am getting ready for bed. Today, I spoke with an old ex boyfriend. His name is Dave and he is a nice, decent guy. His kid, who I met when he was 7 years old, is now 21 . Damn I guess time has gone by..anyway Dave is still living in Oakland. He tells me that he is seeing someone. I say that is great. The chat on the phone was friendly warm bubbly. Hell I had not talked to the guy in ages.He was a nice guy. I don't remember why we stopped seeing each other exactly, but I do remember that we ended it amicably. Spent all day at work. I spend all Saturdays and many Sundays at work and I love it. Still it is nice to take a day off once in a while. Oh yeah, my last dental visit a few days ago? Seems that my gums are bleeding when the technician cleans my teeth. I brush and floss my teeth a lot. Every day. But it seems that little bits of food debris still gets caught in my teeth and gums and causes havoc. No cavities this time though. Tech suggested that I start coming to the dentist every 3 or 4 months. I may have to start doing just that.

Death penalty
I do support the death penalty, esp in cases like: Zacharias Mousssaui, Hussein, Osama Bin Laden, Ted Bundy, David Parker Ray, Hitler, Mussolini, Mao, Stalin, The Manson Family, Sirhan sirhan, James Earl Ray, Karla Homolka and her boyfriend( I am sorry to say his name escapes me) , Ted Kazinsky(spelling??) and others of their ilk. They don't deserve to live.

The Dentist
Ok, I realize I have not posted here today. Thursday, at 9 am. I head off to the dentist. Call me crazy but I actually LIKE going to the dentist! In fact, I could, if I find a nice comfy spot, fall asleep in the dentist's chair! And then, my cleaning lady is coming over to clean my house, and she does an excellent job. So I am very much looking forward to Thursday. Everything is clean!
