WOULD ALSO LIKE TO ADD
I am ProChoice, but I have many ProLife friends and family member that would never ever condone what happened to Dr Tiller. The person who shot him is an idiot and a coward.
Rest in peace, Dr Tiller.
Rest in peace, Dr Tiller. I will keep him and his family in my thoughts and prayers. From the Cj online:Sunday's shooting death of abortion provider George Tiller:
"Today we mourn the loss of our husband, father and grandfather. Today's event is an unspeakable tragedy for all of us and for George's friends and patients. This is particularly heart wrenching because George was shot down in his house of worship, a place of peace. ... Our loss is also a loss for the City of Wichita and women across America. George dedicated his life to providing women with high-quality heath care despite frequent threats and violence. We ask that he be remembered as a good husband, father and grandfather and a dedicated servant on behalf of the rights of women everywhere." — Tiller's family, through his attorneys.
"Kansans for Life deplores the murder of Dr. George Tiller, and we wish to express our deep and sincere sympathy to his family and friends. Our organization has a board of directors, and a 35 year history of bringing citizens together to achieve thoughtful education and legislation on the life issues here in Kansas. We value life, completely deplore violence, and are shocked and very upset by what happened in Wichita today." — Mary Kay Culp, executive director of anti-abortion group Kansans for Life.
"We are shocked at this morning's disturbing news that Mr. Tiller was gunned down. Operation Rescue has worked for years through peaceful, legal means, and through the proper channels to see him brought to justice. We denounce vigilantism and the cowardly act that took place this morning. We pray for Mr. Tiller's family that they will find comfort and healing that can only be found in Jesus Christ." — Troy Newman, president of anti-abortion group Operation Rescue.
"I'm shocked by this senseless tragedy and my thoughts are with Dr. Tiller's family during this difficult time." — Kansas Gov. Mark Parkinson.
"I am stunned by this lawless and violent act which must be condemned and should be met with the full force of law. We join in lifting prayer that God's grace and presence rest with Dr. Tiller's family and friends." — Former Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline, an abortion opponent

Yessssssssssss
Well a few days ago, I found out that I am going to have my surgery, and when I meet with the surgeon on June 16th, I will have a definite date scheduled then. I have also 'discovered' a new food (ok not really new lol) that I can eat after my surgery. I can even put it on a slice of bread or toast. Egg salad. I just take a sliced tomato and add a hard boiled egg with it, plus a little bit of salt. Yum! I have no cholesterol problems so I am good to go. Eggs are a good source of protein. Tomatoes are a good source of everything. I am hoping to lose so much weight that I will have sagging skin, and I won't have to take the Byetta any more. Maybe I won't have to take some of the other meds as well. Who knows? I don't want to be laid up for too long after surgery. Maybe after the surgery I will be on light duty for a few weeks, I don't know. June 16 when I meet with the Dr then I will inquire about scheduling my surgery for sometime this Fall.

Hi there
Have been trying to write in the new blog I have here every day. The last one I had, I let lapse for a month. Damn. I also forgot the password. I wanted to add some interesting articles on finance and the FDIC and what is going on with the banks as of late. I will probably do that tomorrow though.

Don'tcha hate it when
Your favorite television shows jump the shark? Or when your favorite websites get pulled down? I was searching the net for an old television show that I used to watch, clicked on what looked to be a great link, and the video was pulled. Then I try to go to another fansite about Sharon Tate, and it is one I used to post on, but it got pulled too.

I am impatient
Just today I transferred money from my checking to my savings account. I was only able to transfer one hundred dollars. Saving my money these days is so slow and I am so ..impatient. I want things to happen, want my savings to build up NOW. This year, I have started adding to my RothIRA again. I can't add much to it, and there is a maximum of five grand that I can put into it per year.

Hello everyone!
Hi there. My name is Heather and I live in Topeka Kansas. I am 40 years old. I created this blog mainly to help me track my financial ways. I live in an older house, built around 1955 or so and in a few years I am looking to sell this one and purchase a new one. I bought my first house about 13 years ago, when I was 27 years old. At that time, I was living with my parents, and I was getting to the point that I needed to find my own place to live! Anyway, I searched and I searched and I search for a home that fit my budget , and I found what I thought at the time was a cute little tan house with brown trim. Kinda plain but I liked it. I still do. After years, I worked hard, made some extra payments on it and now my little home is paid off. I have recently done some remodeling too. Might need some more work. I know that right now is not a great time at all to sell a house, therefore I will wait for the right time. I am in no hurry. I have paid off all debts except for daily living expenses, and I am currently squirrelling as much money away as I can. I have become a big tight wad. I started listening to Dave Ramsey on 1440 AM in the mornings. He is a financial guru based out of Tennessee. Smart guy. You should check him out.
